Community Care Workers - £6.98 to £9.04 p/hr + Mileage Allowance
at Writejob in Care in Leamington Spa
We are recruiting Community Care Workers for a quality driven care provider in the Warwick, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa areas. You will need to be a car owner/driver for this role.
Our client is looking for caring, committed, genuine individuals to support and encourage vulnerable people with or recovering from mental health issues, for people with Alhzeimer\'s and other forms of Dementia, people with a learing dissability and children with special needs, to continue living independently in their own homes and be part of their local community. Full training and support is given with the opportunity to take NVQs after a qualifying period.
You will need to be available for work from either 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 10.30pm over a five day period which will include alternate weekends, so flexibility is essential for this very rewarding career.
Duties will include the following:- All aspects of personal care, I.e. washing, dressing, bathing, showering, hair washing, oral hygiene, continence management and support. Other duties and support include, shopping, light housework, bed making and changing, laundry, meal preparation, medication prompting, washing up, bin emptying , light gardening etc.
Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will be an important part of the service users daily social environment.
Community Care Workers work from a weekly rota which includes short structured visits to service users in the community. Company policies, procedures and the NCS must be adhered to at all times.
